Without proper wax candle lighting on the sets, "a"s can be mistaken for "o"s

Many moons ago, a great wise man once asked the question: "dude....why are your posts so freakin long?". Actually, that really wasn't all that long ago, and well that man wasn't really all that wise either. In fact, that's what Phil posted as a comment to my last blog. And for all you (both of the people that actually read my blogs) that may be wondering the same thing, the answer to that question is that I just simply have as many things to write about as I do things to say...And as Phil knows as well as anyone else, I have a lot to say. He's often annoyed by the many things I have to say during our morning drives to school. Ok this shit is starting to sound gay. Well, here I go again:
  • Honest to God, my grade 2 ESL teacher's name was Mr. English. I swear to God!! Amazing eh? It's the truth. hmm....Well come to think of it I sure hope it was true. I mean, it's possible that all my teachers were just lying to me about it so that they could have a few laughs by mocking the fact that I was of a different cultural background and that I didn't speak english. Naaah, I shouldn't doubt them like that, I'm sure his name really was Mr. English. It's totally inconsiderate of me to think that my teachers would actually lie to me about their names just to mock me and my culture.
  • Speaking of my grade 2 days, one of my fondest memories is when my math teacher, Mrs. Pakdot, and my principal, Mr. Gundy, actually gave me a Christmas gift. I mean when do teachers actually give students gifts? It really made me feel welcomed in the class. I think that haldi packett (curry powder) lasted our family almost 2 months.
  • A Wax model of Ashwariya Rai has just recently been placed at Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum. The only other Indian celebirty that's been honored this way before at the British museum is Amitabh Bachchan in 2000. Do you guys notice anything wrong here?...Amitabh -- Ashwariya?...Who the hell is Ashwariya?!?!...What the hell has she done to deserve the honor of being the only Indian female in Showbiz to be 'inducted' into the museum? Why not Lata or Meena Kumari, Shabana Azmi, or even Rekha? I'm speechless! What a bumb-Ash decision eh Gagan?
  • Apparently a certain fanclub is trying to get a SHK wax model into the museum. I cannot include the words that I require to describe my feelings about this on my site, and will therefore defer doing so. However, I do have some advice for the museum management. I say the most economical/cost efficient thing for the museum to do is setup a little TV in the corner somewhere and just show various SRK movies on it. It'll be so much cheaper than actually creating a wax model of him. And plus SHK's facial expressions never actually change in movies anyways right? No need to waste wax on creating a still model now is there? Ohhhhh.
  • Arranged marriage is a really strange beast...At what point do you tell your wife the truth about everything in your life? Like I mean at what point do you start telling her certain things about yourself that you'd only tell someone that you're really comfortable with? Until that time comes, are you lying to your wife?
  • I truely believe that Scarface is an overrated movie.
  • If an actor had to play the role of Emad Butt in a movie, who'd suit the role best? ("comment" your responses and try to link to a picture if u can. I'll post the best reponses in future posts). At this point I'm not really sure myself.
  • SEPARATED AT BIRTH!!!! Philips and M. Night Shyamalan (director of Signs and Sixth Sense).
  • While we're on this look-a-like thing, Ranjith has always told me that I look like this Tamil actor he knows of named Ajit Kumar. I searched the web for this actor's image, and according to the picture I found, Ajit Kumar's as confused by the comparison as I am.
  • Punjabi Factoid of the Week: During the shooting of Sholay Dharmendra developed a huge crush on Hema Malini. To 'satisfy' his desires he'd actually pay the technical crew guys on the sets to screw up the lighting or somin, so that he'd have to re-enact entire love scenes with Hema over, and over, and over again. Dharmendra's punjabi charm worked, and him and Hema later got married. Unfortunately however, he forgot to divorce his previous wife (Sunny and Bobby Deol's mother). Even more unfortunate was the fact that Dharmendra and Hema conceived Esha Doel, who in my opinion ranks only behind Twinkle Khanna as the ugliest actress in Bombay.
  • Grandparents are the greatest thing (for lack of a better word) in the world!!!
  • Aditya's one of the most free spirited pranksters/jokers i know. I'm confident he can make me laugh at even at the most serious of occasions....let's say at a classical sitar concert for example.
  • The best snack food: A well prepared serving of chaat. Now guys I just wanna make sure everyone read that right. I mean I'm aware that many of you don't always wear your glasses and so I want to make sure you know what I'm talking about, so I'll type it again: C-H-A-A-T, as in chaat papri.
  • I just realized that food comes up a lot in my posts. Oh well, that's just the way it is I guess. If you haven't figured it out as yet, I really enjoy eating.
  • I found my little's brother's Halloween candy bag today....MUHH-HAA-HAA!!

Aight guys, take care. That's all for today...and I'll proly be takin it easy on the posts for a couple of days...

Learn the game theory behind trifle cake in 2 and a half weeks

I have just completed a chain of studying for 3 midterms in 1 week. I know there's probably a few of you thinkin...'awww, cry me a river, I'm going through worst'. My message to you folks is I don't really care b/c this is my blog. :) ...Get your own and you can bitch there also. All sarcasm aside, I'm glad it's over. The biggie was my Game Theory midterm which worth 40% of my final mark. Ended up doing well in that, so I'm glad the intensive prep paid off. Anyhow for some reason I prefer to just 'bullet' all my 'Ran-dum' thoughts instead of writing them like this...and so 'DISHUM'...
  • Saira and Amna had a Halloween 'Freeky Friday' potlock yesterday that was a lot of fun. Therefore, obviously the food was great ;). Saira made this cool thingy called trifle cake, which I'd never had before, that was outrageously tasty. Their mom had cooked some great lasagne as well.
  • The greatest dish I have tasted in my life is still my cousin Paul's Chicken Tikka. mmmmm.
  • Anil Kapoor is one of my favorite actors, and I think he's one of the most underrated actors in the industry. He's been acting (in leading roles alone, not as a child star) for over 27 years. Mashaal (belonged to Dilip Kumar all the way), Mr India, Virasat, Meri Jung, Calcutta Mail, Woh Saat Din, Pukar, Parinda, 1942, Beta, and Lamhe are amongst his highlights films, and they span over 26 years. Not many actors can lay claim to such a feat. Especially considering he looks a compatible/suitable acting with Rati Agnihotri as he does with Ashwariya 22 years later.
  • I still haven't seen Friday Night Lights.
  • I'm sure I've gotten more sleep at the Erindale library in the last 2 and a 1/2 weeks then I have at home.
  • Home sweet home.
  • I haven't played much ball at Erindale in the last 3 weeks...Omar, let's run court this week man.
  • Props to Moe...Who's given all of us future 'graduaters' some hope and has landed a great job at RBC.
  • But that still doesn't change the fact that I'll kick his ass the next time we eva play Madden.
  • Why do I suck so bad at Halo?
  • Phil's right, Amna's Mystique costume would win first prize Friday night (if there were a competition).
  • Second prize would go Saira's 'The older stressed out sister with lotsa resposibilies' costume.
  • Any UT student that doesn't have a legit Norton Antivirus on their PC should capitalize on UTM's free offer to students and download it from www.erin.utoronto.ca/cc
  • Hotest Actress in Hally-wood?---guess.
  • Close second?--'Salma pe dil ageya!!'
  • Greatest Comedy Role Ever in hindi film: Paresh Rawal - Hera Pheri.
  • 2 of my favorite hindi movies, that I really don't like to admit to liking...but I will now: Chinagate and Deewana.
  • I hate the X-Box controller. PS's rocks.
  • I'm falling behind/slacking in Stats; gotta get on top of that shit.
  • Drove by my childhood home one night this week. It was actually kinda freeky.

Alright folks, until next time, take care, g'luck with exam's/jobs...

Firstmost Everest Poster

Wow,
I've always wanted site setup that wud allow me to vent and share random thoughts with everyone. This blog thing shud do the trick. Anyhow, this is my first post and all I can think of is how tired I am. It's 1:05am and I'm at the Erindale library wrapping up my studying for the day. hmmmm....this post thingy is kinda boring....maybe i need to spice it up a bit with some 'random' thoughts and not so random vent-ulations...
  • G, bumb-ass is NOT a diss.
  • SRK stinks. Well maybe not stinks, but he gets too much credit as an actor. True his movies have turned out to be some of the greatest hits of the last decade, but that's not because of his acting ability. He's popular for 2 reasons: 1) The girls dig him. 2) He's been signed to lead roles in the most 'candy-floss' movies ever. He's found his very narrow niche of films to act in, and has exploited it to hell and back with the assistance of some of today's best director's. I find that desi's find it difficult to distinguish b/w sucessful actors and great actors.
  • Please never mention the names 'Amitabh' and 'Shah Rukh' in the same sentence unless it is done so following a paragraph in which you've just ripped Shah Rukh.
  • Do skunks fart?
  • Fudgeos are toooo good...Mr. Christie, you do make great cookies.
  • Haven't ate dinner at home in almost a week b/c of midterms...miss mom's cookin.
  • Phil's stomach growls are scary.
  • I'm tired.
  • Tabu is the best lookin actress, and Antara Mali is the hottest.
  • Al Pacino hasn't come out in a movie for a really long time.
  • I really badly want to watch Friday Night Lights.
  • Hindi movies I wanted to watch but never got around to..Pyaasa (G.D.), Masoom, Angoor, Pakeeza, Sardaar, Sangaarsh (or whatever that Anupum Kher movie is called).
  • Saira and Amna are too alike.
  • Manoj Kumar's direction of 'Purab aur Paschim' is simply amazing. A treat to watch.
  • Eagles or Patriots?....hmm...Pats i guess, but only b/c they're defending champs.
  • I don't remember ever seeing anything in sports as amazin as the the Sox defeating the Yankees this year.
  • I'm tired.

Anyways folks, that's all for now. Time to go home.
